The State of Outreach
Presented by Ms. Marina ZHURAKHINSKAYA on 28 Jul 2012 from 10:02 to 10:40
Recently, we have significantly improved our efforts in GNOME to reach out to and involve new contributors. We improved GNOME Love resources, created a list of GNOME mentors newcomers can contact, organized the Outreach Program for Women, ensured students applying for Google Summer of Code work with their potential mentors during the application period, and created an Every Detail Matters initiative. This talk will cover all these efforts in detail, other things we can do, and how everyone can help. Because GNOME is People, we all need to be in the state of outreach to grow our community of contributors and the potential of our software. There are easy ways to do so too - one keyword is "gnome-love".
